BSc. Accounting and Finance

This programme aims to provide students with comprehensive foundations into the principles of accounting and finance and prepares them to become professionally qualified in the field of accountancy. Students learn about how accounting and finance are concerned with a range of institutional processes and appreciate the differences between accounting and accountability, financial management and risk, performance management and sustainability, governance and regulation, policy making and change. The programme also enables students to grasp the use of accounting and finance techniques in different contexts

Graduate Entry Route

The second option being the Graduate Entry Route is suitable for those students who already have an undergraduate degree and also fulfil Mathematics and English language requirements. It consists of 09 modules or courses of 30 credits each that add up to a total of 270 credits. The programme offers a student the flexibility to complete it within a span of 3 to 6 years. For all courses under this programme assessment is primarily through one three-hour or three-hour and 15-minute unseen written examination. In addition to the unseen written examination, coursework might also be required for some modules or courses, if specified

Eligibility requirements

BSc. Accounting and Finance (Academic Direction from LSE-UOL):

To be eligible for this programme, an applicant must:

  • Normally be 17 years old
  • Have a GCSE/GCE ‘O’ Level in Mathematics and English Language (with at least Grade C or equivalent) And
  • Three subjects at GCE ‘A’ level (with one ‘A’ level at not less than grade D) OR
  • Two subjects at GCE ‘A’ level + at least three further subjects at GCSE/GCE ‘O’ Level (at or with not less than Grade C), OR
  • Three subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + one further subject at GCSE/GCE ‘O’ Level (at or with less than grade C), OR
  • Two subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + two further subjects at ‘AS’ Level, OR
  • BA/BSc./BCom from any recognized university of Pakistan OR
  • High School Diploma plus two APs (excluding Studio Art) with grade 3, 4, or 5
