Barrister Syed Mohammad Shah

Abdullah Fida ‘24

My favourite faculty is Sir Zaland. He’s helpful, light-hearted and is always available for our questions. My university experience has been amazing. It’s hard to believe that we have been on campus for a year already. Life at CLLB is a great experience and I plan to make the most out of it.

Zeeshan Ahmed LLB ‘22

I’m a businessman and I choose law to study because business owners and executives need to know the basics of law. There is a huge body of law that applies to business. Businesses need these laws for the same reasons that people do: to define unacceptable behavior, to provide certainty and stability, to protect the public, and to provide a mechanism for busi- nesses to resolve disputes. A busi- ness can buy and sell property, sue and be sued, enter into contracts, hire and fire employees, and these issues can be effectively handled if the business owner knows the law. This place has been my sec- ond home because I have had some amazing people as friends. Activities organised by CLLB have not only helped me in exams but have also improved my criti- cal thinking and problem solving skills. I thoroughly enjoyed the Criminal Law lectures of Barrister Amir Ullah Khan Chamkani.

Salman Shah LLB ‘23

It has been a great journey so far at CLLB. I have been trying to find a little chink in the armor *wink *wink to criticize it but with such great minds around you, you barely stand a chance. My favorite course was Criminal Law taught by Barrister Rokhan. He has an anecdote for every law concept. I recommend LLB of University of London, as it is recognized by bar councils and a rigorous route to study law. We have professionals studying with us who are well-established in their careers and came back to study law.

Daniyal Azeem ‘24

It all started when I first saw Barrister Amir Ullah Chamkani in my uncle’s chamber. He became my inspiration to pursue law. I knew I wanted to study law but I wasn’t sure which law school to attend. My meeting with Sir Dil- awar gave me more clarity about law careers. And I also want- ed to join his cause. Here, you study with people from diverse backgrounds which shapes your worldview.

Barrister Asad Ul Mulk

(Lecturer, Jurisprudence)
A good educational institute cannot make your life for you, but it can provide you with the tools to make the most of your own life. CLLB ticks most of the boxes which a good educational institute should. It provides quality educa- tion, robust courses, skilled tutors, a splendid campus and friendly environment. All these traits allow for intellectual growth and devel- opment, which is what a student should be looking for. Anyone leaving CLLB with a law degree can rest assured that they have in their possession a degree which equips them to effectively tackle the academic challenges of life.

Barrister Rokhan N. Shafi

(Lecturer, Criminal Law)
One must thoroughly prepare the case. That’s the first and the most important step towards good courtroom advocacy. The advocate should know the case down to the slightest details. As Barrister M. Kasuri used to say, nobody can become a master of laws, but one can surely become a master of facts. But, there is one more quality, which if not possessed, obliterates the effect of preparedness and all the rest of the qualities an advo- cate may have. That is Manners. Nothing is so ingratiating as good manners. They go a long way towards making a good advocate. The sooner you realise how to practice these qualities, the sooner you will become known in the profession.
